Competition Rules
Overview
The Titiranglers FedEx Cup is a season-long competition held every Saturday at Titirangi Golf Club. Players accumulate points across weekly rounds, with the season champion determined by total points.
Scoring Format
Weekly events are primarily Stableford format, played off handicap. Occasional net or gross formats are used.
Points are awarded based on finishing position each week. The number of points available is determined by the size of the field — the more players, the more points at stake.
Points formula: The top prize equals (number of players ÷ 2, rounded up) × 100. Each subsequent position receives 100 fewer points. Players beyond the points line receive 0 points but still record a round played.
Tied positions: When players tie, they share the average of the positions they span. For example, two players tied for 2nd each receive the average of 2nd and 3rd place points.
Double points events: Selected events carry a 2× multiplier on all points awarded.
Season Structure
The season runs from February to December each year. Players must pay the annual fee to be eligible for season standings.
At the end of the regular season, the Points Champion is the player with the highest cumulative points total.
A Season Playoff may be held among the top finishers to determine the overall FedEx Cup Winner. The playoff format includes a points boost based on regular season ranking, added to the player's actual score on playoff day.
Playoff Rules
The playoff is a single-round event. Each qualifying player receives a points boost based on their final season ranking:
1st: +10 · 2nd: +8 · 3rd: +7 · 4th: +6 · 5th: +5 · and so on.
The boost adds to the player's Stableford score on the day. The player with the highest adjusted total wins the FedEx Cup.
Players compete on their normal handicap. The highest adjusted score wins.
Eligibility
All members of the Saturday group at Titirangi Golf Club are welcome to participate. Players must register and pay the season fee to be included in the standings.
There is no minimum number of rounds required — every round counts.
